Research

For each critique I hope to have three photos printed, each of a series, the first I want to be a series of scars. I am not sure if I'd like to carry that theme through all three yet. I plan to make my own irregular canvas' draped with found fabrics from vintage stores, my mom's closet, etc. On those I plan to do a sort of stream of conscious process with stitching and painting whatever I feel onto the surface. By the end of the class I hope to have a series of nine well put together pieces to show.

A new friend

Today, on a whim I bought a Olympus Trip 35mm from an Antique Store in downtown Wilmington. It's something I have had my mind set on ever since I wandered into this little shop, and the owner, a little old man, assured me I'd love it. He was right, I am now obsessed.
In my attempts to make sure that it was actually in working condition, I photographed my 12 year old sister, Tori.
Hopefully this spur-of-the-moment purchase is exactly what I need to ensure more photographs to be taken, for more please visit my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/meaganoh/

For now-
xoxo A happy girl

A MASS UPDATE

Although I have but one follower, I made this blog for myself.. to document my life, both good an bad. Maybe someday it'll be a great source to someone. here are some photo's to update you on my life.

Instagram is my primary source, since I rarely have the time/patience to lug around my camera...
Well, today I turned in my first printmaking assignment: Lino-cutting
"My Fair Lady"
It's not perfect, but it's something.

and This is what I am starting on next, a Wood-cut.
I am not looking forward to the work this is going to put on my scrawny arms.

The weather in Wilmington lately had been incredible, I'm talking atleast 70 everday IT'S ONLY FEBRUARY 2nd FOR GOSH SAKES! But nonetheless, I'll take a sunny day like this anytime
AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST,
I have just booked a trip to Manhattan & Boston to visit some friends and  family
and...to...see...MATT CORBY. so so so excited.

although this has nothing to do with my photos, this movie is so very inspirational and moving and hilarious. Watch The Help featuring Emma Stone for a truly inspiring message.
